The Middle Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous sequence in the Shizugawa-Hashiura Sub-belt comprises the Hashiura Gr and the overlying Jusanhama Gr. The Hashiura Gr in the Shizugawa area is in ascending order, divided into the Aratozaki, Arato and Sodenohama
formations.
